Oakdale 20 is perfectly serviceable, and a great bargain. It's not the world's best visual quality and they don't have the lounge seating that's becoming so popular, but it's hard to take issue with that when you can see a movie opening night for $6.75, or $5 all day Tuesday. The theater is clean, well maintained, and has great options for snacks.
Good theater with plenty of space and parking. However, I've been going here a long time and they haven't updated anything in at least a decade of not longer. No reclining seats. No bar. No food options beyond the basic popcorn and candy. Ticket prices are definitely better than other places but it's no frills or extras.
You get what you pay for. I couldn't believe how cheap tickets were online so I bought a matinee showing. When I got to the theatre, it took forever to pick up my ticket I had already purchased... I have never seen a movie theater line take so long. Then the cashier at the food area rang me up for food I didn't order and had to give me money back, yet somehow I still paid an absurd amount for a soda and small box of candy. So don't be fooled by cheap ticket prices, they get you with food & drink. After all that, I barely made it to the movie in time, only to be in awe of how small the screen was. Overall a lame experience.
The theater won't blow your mind, but within this price range you're not gonna find a nicer theater. I recommend it.
This is our go to theater. Nothing fancy. Just a well kept movie theater. Lots of movies and showtimes (including 3D). The screens aren't huge, but who says they need to be to enjoy a good movie? They are the normal size, and are by no means "small". Plenty of parking and tickets are cheap. Snack and drinks are a little pricey but you don't have to buy them to watch a movie. Theaters are mostly empty so there's plenty of seating. They don't have the large recliner seats which is totally fine because I have no problems sitting up straight for a couple hours. The only thing I don't like is that after NewVison took over you aren't able to purchase tickets on Fandango. However, the lines are practically nonexistent so it's not really an inconvenience at all.
This theater has very reasonable prices. The screens may not be huge, the seats may not recline, but where else can you get $6 matinees with stadium seats. Also, the place is never filled to capacity, even for blockbusters which makes it good if you like to avoid the crowds.
